Wen Ning awakes and is... different. Lan Wangji visits Yiling and meets up with Wei Wuxian. He tells Wei Wuxian about Jiang Yanli's upcoming wedding to Jiang Zixuan.

Lan Wangji checks out the Yiling Burial Mounds and returns back to Cloud Recesses for his punishment.

Jiang Yanli gets married to Jin Zixuan. They have a kid and invite Wei Wuxian to the ceremony.

Wen Ning accidentally kills Jin Zixuan en route to the ceremony. Shit hits the fan.

The remaining Wen clan is killed by the Jin clan. Yanli is accidentally killed trying to find Wei Wuxian on the battlefield.

Wei Wuxian destroys the Yin Iron and dies. Back to the current timeline! Jin Ling (Jin Zixuan & Jiang Yanli's son) hates Wei Wuxian for killing his parents.

Everyone catches up at the tavern.

Lan Wangji gets hilariously drunk. This will be the last bit of fun for quite awhile. Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian head to Yi City and run into Jin Ling and the junior Lan Clan.

Everyone meets up with Xue Yang, in disguise as Xiao Xingcheng. They find Xiao Xingcheng's body.

Wei Wuxian uses empathy to find out what happend to Xiao Xingcheng.

Turns out Xiao Xingchen was tricked by Xue Yang into accientally killing Song Lan. He slits his throat in grief. Xue Yang tries to bring him back to life, but fails. Lan Wangji and zombie Song Lan kill Xue Yang.

Everyone heads over to the Jinlingtai Cultivation Conference. Jin Guangyao (formerly Meng Yao) is in charge and his wife is... not well.

Wei Wuxian finds the severed head of Nie Mingjue (Nie Huaisang's brother) in Jin Guangyao's private chamber.
- 142: Episode 42
Qin Su, Jin Guangyao's wife, kills herself in the private chamber. Jin Ling stabs Wei Wuxian.

Jin Guangyao uses the Collection of Turmoil to drive people mad through music.

Jin Guangyao plants a trap for Wei Wuxian in the Burial Mounds.
- 145: Episode 45
Su She is working with Jin Guangyao. Jiang Cheng figures out that Jin Guangyao and Xue Yang killed Jin Guangsheng.

Wen Ning reveals to Jiang Cheng that Wei Wuxian donated his golden core to him. Jiang Cheng is pissed.
- 147: Episode 47
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji head to Yunping City to hunt down Jin Guangyao. Everyone starts to show up.

Jin Guangyao makes everyone supress their powers while he digs something up in the temple.

Nie Huaisang tricks Lan Xichen into killing Jin Guangyao.
- 150: Episode 50
The temple crumbles and everyone (except the dead Jin Guangyao and Su She) leaves. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji part ways, but (very possibly) join up together again after some time has passed.
