Plot:
- Sam and Dave escape eviction and the burnt-out remains of their old burger job in Detroit by heading out to Sam's uncle's tropical paradise for a job as snorkeling instructors.

- Skip the opening credits and all scenes in Detroit with the Coreys. You'll miss Roger Clinton's (Bill Clinton's half-brother) appearance, but you'll save yourself a headache and a huge chunk of unfunny exposition. Start watching once Feldman and Haim magically transport to a beach in the Cayman Islands
- The women are pretty good - I liked both Sonja (the sweet scuba instructor) and Alex (the slinky spy/actor). The pretty mermaid got a raw deal from Sam, though.
- Loved reggae Flash's line, about the Coreys being scuba instructors from Detroit: "Right in the middle of scuba country!"
- Geoffrey Lewis (Juliet Lewis's dad!) is fine as Rex Morgan, the actor/pirate/possibly crazy owner of the resort. Liked him more in Only the Strong with Mark Dacascos, though.
- The Old Hermit (Zelda Rubinstein) and her two cute female sidekicks. Adorable!
- Corey Feldman, once he finally dropped the sunglasses, fedora and suits, and Corey Haim, once he started wearing scuba gear. They did, however, have a completely awful fight/exchange with Haim crossing and uncrossing himself, and Feldman reminding him that he did the exact same move in Lost Boys. Meta or mistake?
- Dread Zeppelin as the underwater band at the end. Loved their Elvis/reggae version of Stairway to Heaven
- With a 2.7 rating on IMDb, you're probably watching this movie because you like (or liked) the Coreys (Haim and Feldman). Don't - they're not very good in this and they both speak over each other, essentially obscuring their lines.
- Not to be confused with Last Resort, a Charles Grodin comedy
